Building Elevations Produced for 40 Birmingham Tower Blocks
The development of high-rise, or tower buildings in Birmingham was most active during the post- war development phase of the 1960s. These towers are now either being demolished or renovated and in the latter instance require elevations produced for work being undertaken on them.
Central Alliance works closely with other companies within the RSK Group, and when geotechnical and engineering contractor CAN was required to undertake work on a number of tower blocks in Birmingham it turned to Central Alliance to produce the necessary building elevations.
Specifically, Central Alliance was required to laser scan the buildings and produce drawings that could be used on site during the proposed work that was to be subsequently carried out by CAN. This saw Central Alliance mobilise its survey personnel and equipment, scanning the various tower blocks with the acquired data transferred to its head office for post-processing and elevation drafting.
